Earlier this week, I was taking pictures of Alex and his friend Addison while they were playing ball. We had plenty of time because the daddies of these two athletes were playing church softball at Central Park. I was fortunate enough to snap the top picture just as Addison asked Alex how old he is. They were both thrilled that each of them are the same age(4), but Addison quickly noticed that there is a size difference. "Hey, if you are 4, how come you are LOTS taller than me?" So, then they started measuring themselves against the other. Seems that Addison came up on the "short" end of things...I know how he feels! His mom mentioned that he is just now wearing 3t pants. I can't remember which week Alex wore that size! Yep, you read that correctly, which week! He will be taller than me by Mothers' Day and what a wonderful present that will be! Haha! Now you know part of the reason that he is called ALEXZILLA!

Lifegroup Bulletin Board
I know that this is supposed to be a blog about Alexzilla, but he did help me put these bulletin boards together. I was asked to do this each month, so check back for new pictures. To my scrapbooking buddies: feel free to leave tips so that I can make each month better and better. Oh, look fast, because the new board will be up later this week. Then I will publish new pictures! Yea!

Alex was SO excited that they were going to have an Easter Egg Hunt at school. Everyday, he would tell me how many days until the hunt and then he would clap excitedly in anticipation. Each child was supposed to find twelve eggs and then wait for everyone else to get their twelve eggs. After each person picked up their twelve, then it became a free for all to see who could get the rest of the eggs. The teachers had thrown out loose candy and TONS of eggs. Sweet Emily Craigo saw that Alex only had 11 eggs and she happily gave him one of her extra eggs. Alex was so thrilled that he went through the field retrieving sweet tarts just for her. Can you say, "AWWWW!" Next, Alex teamed up with Mitchell(another buddy from a different class) and they snuck off to the dugout where they consumed GOBS of candy before getting caught. Even Maddie, couldn't resist the charming Alex, as she stopped by to share some of her candy with him. I guess it was a temporary truce to their ongoing "war". After all of the kids were hyped up on all that sugar, the teachers released the sugar devils to their parents...early. The candy high lasted ALL afternoon! I think they should hunt eggs filled with baby carrots instead of candy, but I am sure that won't make me MOM of the YEAR!
